What to expect

Once you have booked your place and received your joining instructions we will arrange a zoom call to meet and talk through the session. During the zoom call we will establish a wild camping spot and discuss the route.

The first day will begin with a pack shake down. Your leader will empty their pack with you and then re pack explaining the most efficient way to do this.

We will consider the map and begin walking our route. Throughout the day we will be asking you to navigate because learning to map read and navigate inspires confidence and motivates you to stop, and look more closely at the terrain.

Once we reach our wild camping location we will begin our evening routine. This will include setting the tents up, eating, replenishing water, administration of gear and route planning for the next day.

On day two we will follow our route and enjoy the scenery. Eventually we will make our way back to our vehicles where we will reflect on the experience and what we learned before ending the experience.

Zoom Call

Once you have booked your place and received your joining instructions we will arrange a zoom call to meet and talk through the session. During the zoom call we will establish our route, wild camping spots and discuss any summits you would like to hike to.

Day 1

The first day will begin with a pack shake down. Your leader will empty their pack with you and then re pack explaining the most efficient way to do this.

We will consider the map and begin walking our agreed route for day one.

Day 2

We will rise, pack, leave no trace and start our route for day two. Day 2 will consist of more navigation and learning about the terrain and rules of the land we are hiking over.

Our main aim on the second day is to slow our minds down a notch and begin immersing ourselves in the nature that surrounds us.

Eventually we will reach our wild camp and put the skills we learned on the evening of day one into practice. We will plan our route back to the vehicles for the following morning.

Day 3

After packing up we will head on route back to the vehicles. As we move we will continue map reading and navigating. This hike back is a fantastic time to reflect on our experience and what we have learned.
